The Barley Room
Our New Room for 2012!
The Barley bedroom is in the oldest part of The Old Bakery dating back to 1580. Situated on the ground floor and designed to meet National Accessible Scheme M1 standards (grading pending). The room is exceptionally spacious and ideal for those who would rather not climb stairs. This charming room features much of the original 16th century architecture with oak beams forming parts of the walls and ceiling and the original fireplace with Tudor Rose carvings still in tact.
Easy chairs positioned in front of the fireplace ensure you can relax and watch television in comfort. The Barley room has twin beds and an en-suite shower room with plenty of soft fluffy towels, dressing gowns to snuggle up in and Pecksniff's 'Mood Therapy' toiletries.
A DAB radio alarm, should you wish to listen to music or if you have to get up at an allotted hour, flat screen television with digital channels and a hairdryer are also provided, along with a well equipped hospitality tray for you to make hot drinks in your room.
If you're staying on business or maybe if you've finally found the time to research that novel they say is in each of us, we offer free WiFi internet access throughout the property. If you simply need to check your e-mail you are most welcome to use our PC.
